Ordering Specimens

Placing an Order

Ordering specimens is easy thanks to our integrated shopping cart. If you find a specimen that you want to order simply hit the add to shopping cart button under the specimen image.  The shopping cart adds your specimen selections, totals your purchase, and adds applicable sales tax.  When you have finished making selections you may edit your selection list and remove specimens or add more.  Your personal cart keeps a current tally of all of the specimens that you want to buy.

Also, you may order by selecting the specimen numbers and sending us an email.

In order to serve you better, an account will be created for you as part of the checkout process. This will facilitate a speedier checkout for future orders.

Shipping

In most cases, we ship either U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail or UPS depending on the rates and delivery address provided.  All shipments will be insured and will require a signature to receive.  These costs will be computed by the service and added to your invoice.  The invoice will be sent to you via email.

Specimens Damaged During Shipment

Specimens are packed very carefully but very infrequently a specimen may arrive in pieces.  When this happens please take the original box and specimen to the shipper and report the damage and then let us know so that we can process the claim [CHECK THIS PROCESS AT THE PO]

Payment Options

We accept PayPal (VISA & M/C), personal checks, money orders, or cashiers checks

After payment has cleared we will promptly ship your order. 

If you would like to discuss other terms of payment, layaway plans, installments, etc., please don't hesitate to ask.  We will be as flexible as possible in helping you get the minerals that best suit your taste and your collection.

Returns

It is our goal to deliver to you top quality mineral specimens.  However, we realize that sometimes pictures don't match having the specimen in your hands.  Our return policy allows you to decide after you have received the specimen for up to 10 days.  During the 10-day period you must let us know that you intend to return the specimen (by phone or email). If you choose to return the specimen for a refund you must ship it back as we shipped it to you, preferably in the same box and packing materials, including insurance.  We will issue you a refund, minus the shipping costs, to you as soon as the specimen is returned undamaged.

Approvals

As collectors we have enjoyed building strong relationships with many dealers and have often received minerals "on approval".  We will continue this time-honored tradition after we have gotten to know you.  If you would like to talk about having specimens sent on approval give us a call.
